Default thinking about surgery...

...for my eyes.

has anyone on here had lasik eye surgery?

im near sided so i cant see any thing thats far away, clearly. if its not about 10 feet from me its blurry. its getting worse and glasses and contacts are getting to be expensive.

the only suggestion i have gotten so far is to wait at least another year or two.

so what does HAN say...?

If you had a CRX you could have it done twice.

Google it. Lots of places offer it for under $500 per eye.

Unless you got some fucked up googly eyes or something.

I'm considering it, with the all laser approach it seems much faster healing and less pain with more accurate results.

Wife has a coworker that had her eye's done over 7 years ago and she's still got great vision. Paid under $4k back then

I have 2 aunts that did something (dunno if it was lasik or RK or what) over 15 years ago and now they have to wear some minor glasses, occasionally. And from what I hear it was over $5k total.

Procedures have improved a lot since then, however. There's a place just 10mins up the road that does it. NEI. Seem to have a good track record and lots of references. I've talked to about 6-7 people about it and not heard of anyone of them or anyone they know that had any major issues other than some pain/discomfort for a day or two.

Even if I won the lotto(don't play) or something so I could afford, I think I'd be too afraid to get that done. :nervous:

I mean, it might be super rare but the couple of horror stories I've heard are reason enough for me.

Your eyes really aren't something you want to be cost-cutting or price shopping with IMO

Go to Walmart
Buy one of those keychain lasers in the checkout stand
Put in included batteries
Procede to shine the laser in your left eye while a large male fists you in the ass
