I still buy magazines because there is the issue of a magazine being infinitley more portable than a computer source

WERD carrying a magazine > carrying a laptop or trying to read articles on a tiny little screen.

right on, I guess I've completly gone digital and don't feel the need to support print media. I'd prefer to get the news or what not via the internet via computer, or cellphone. Its the future and print media as we know it is changing. Local papers are going to die off and a lot of news is going to be via the web.

I don't see it that way because there are many who get eyestrain staring at a computer screen for extended periods of time. Also the portability of the medium is horrible (as mentioned before).

Printed media will never fully die off.

batteries die ... newspapers just fade

not to mention when you camping or go on a vacation it isnt really practical to haul a laptop around with you all the time. nor will you always have internet access.

I agree that print media won't die, but more and more media is going online. I think magazines will still have their place, I just see a trend of more people accessing their info via the web. I can see a rough ratio of 60% of people viewing a magazine online and 40% still getting a physical copy. I do see a lot of local newspapers dying off though. I view that as a good thing because a lot of them are biased and the market is choosing to read what's important to them and they are doing it via online.
