Default Theft recovery title.

Found a car but it has one since it was broken into. Is there anything that i should worry about besides it being broken into? Any complications with registering it? ANY info is appreciated.

Might want to check and see if insurance costs more with your current provider.

Isn't "theft recovery" the same as a "salvage" title, as far as insurance is considered? :dunno:

Or does it vary by state?

Not sure......but make sure you find out what happened. Mine was stolen but the car was repaired by the dealer and runs perfect, nothing wrong with it. Depends on the situation.

Yes, theft recovery is salvage title most places. Theft recovery doesn't mean the car was broken into, it means it was physically stolen...and who knows what happened to it.

Well the car has 1212 ORIGINAL miles. Its an 01 GSR and yeah, the story is was a showroom car for years then was purchased by an older lady who had it broken into and the interior was stolen out of it. Insurance paid off the cost of the parts and she sold it. Guy who has it now had all of the interior replaced. All other parts(motor, exterior, etc) were supposedly untouched.
