Lenscrafters V. wtf?
A few weeks ago I had lost my glasses at a concert, no big deal I was having my eye exam 2 days later, so I said I'll just wait. In the mean time I patched up some broken glasses from high school to wear.
I go to Lenscrafters. the selection sucks balls. Seriously, there are no oval glasses with invisible wire frames, all they have are these glasses with spikes coming out of them towards your eyeball, great.
I finally find a pair of frames that don't feel half bad or make me look like I should belong in a music group with a preposition in the name. I go to get them and they tell me "Oh, these frames require us to send them out to the lab", again, GREAT.
So I take my 2 week waiting period, and I walk out the door. Well, anyway, a week goes by and my temporary glasses have been destroyed, they're pretty much useless now and I can't see for shit. Lenscrafters calls me on the phone and I'm like AWESOME, my glasses must be in. WRONG, it took them a week to tell me that my prescription doesn't allow them to use those frames. Like WTF? Your store couldn't know this already? If you can't even do it at the lab, then why even have a lab to send them too? IT MAKES NO SENSE!
So here I am, blind as a bat and getting headaches from trying to focus, I'm probably going to smash my car trying to get to the store just to order new glasses, which is a bunch of hogwash because I'm going to end up with these harry potter frames because apparently no one can design a simple useful frame anymore.
cliffs:I have no glasses, lenscrafters told me 2 weeks, a week later they said they can't make them, I'm pissed because I can't see.

I have a wicked astigmatism and my contacts are super-special order and they still get way out of place. (the astigmatism causes me to have different focal lengths if a + were in front of me the | would need one prescription and the - another)
:edit:
there aren't many stores around here.. This lenscrafters used to be decent
:edit2:
and they took my prescription

yup i never go to lenscrafters. I usually buy a pair of glasses every year at a little store i know, it's expensive but i get free contacts all the time and great service. I paid 1K for my last pair but it's all good work pays for it.
