Hmm....strange
I've always experienced more lag on wmp more so than vlc

BTW, hi-fi = High Fidelity not high definition
My setup currently is more geared toward hifi rather than HD. The projector is only 720p

wmp sucks ass.

720p is still pretty good.

so what's the ultimate codec package to use right now?
k lite and coreavc combined?

you guys use mpc as mp3 player too?
for some reasons, wmp always sounded brighter than winamp on mp3s. I've gotten so used to winamp.

coreavc is included in most packs.

wmp sounds "better" (to you) with mp3s since it has an equalizer enabled by default.

brighter, to me, actually sounds worse.
Any EQing on these players are absolute crap. I have professional-grade EQs/dsp running in the background in my setup. We'll discuss more if you're into audio
