I'm wondering if you can add the external HDD to read things like .AVI files and MP3s. I'm sure you can't hop onto Sony's or MS' online service and directly download an Online Arcade game to a USB drive.
I'm not 100% postive on this, but i heard people were able to increase there 360 HD size by just buying a much larger SATA drive and replacing it and adding software blah blah blah...lemme see if i can find it.

Lets you download stuff to your xbox and then upload it to your PC.

Be sure to look if there's any info on flashing the HDD with the matching kernel info.

If the 360 detects a mismatching piece of hardware, it shouldn't boot up because it'll detect a change.

I didn't like madden 2007 on 360, the game play wasn't the same as madden 07 on ps2 and I also didn't like the fact that you could see the plays the other player was picking and how the plays were organized by category. Its not like that on ps2 and madden 08 on the ps3 is suppose just like the ps2 version.

google it. The ps3 has a completely (and very un sony-like) upgradable HD. all the vital system info is stored elswhere so all you lose is game saves. obviously there has to be some limit as to how large you can go, but unlike the xbox that limit is set well above what it ships with.

u can take the stock HD out and replace it with any SATA 2.5" drive, regardless of capacity. you plug it in, it'll format it and you're set.

external hard drives will not read if they are formatted as NTFS, they must be formatted as FAT32. other than that you can plug it in and it'll read the contents (music, vids, photos) and display/play them fine.

ps3 will not play divx or xvid unless you install linux and boot into there and play the videos from there.

any other questions?

So is it true the 80 gig version will be less backwards-compatible than the 60?

the 80gb uses software emulation to play ps1/ps2 games, the 60gb/20gb uses the chip from the ps2. so supposedly there might be some compatibility issues but i dont see why a firmware update couldnt fix most of those issues.
