Apparently, the only fly in the ointment is that the new warranty applies to the original owner and is not transferable.

I guess they assume everybody will lease or sell the car before major repairs are needed.

Most warranties can be voided if you don't have all of the maintenance done by the dealer, or at least by a dealer certified tech using all OEM parts.
