yes I have a 98coupev6 with only 231,500 miles and the check engine light is
still on and now the red ABS AIRBAG light is on too. Should I buy a cheap obdll
code reader to fix the problem Many occupants have adjusted the driver and the passenger seats all the way down with the engine on could have this caused the problem. disconnecting the battery does not stop the red light but it temporarily stops the check engine light. It was suggested 65,000 miles ago to change the catalytic converter but I didn't want to spend the money since the car was running great and giving me 25-30 mpg and great performance. I have the original engine, transmission, and exhaust. I have only changed the oil (synthetic mobil1 15,000 mile extended performance), plugs with bosh platinum plus 4 the wires distcap and rotor cap some 52,000 miles ago, the starter 115,000 miles ago, the alternator 11,000 miles ago, the rotors wheel bearings and brakes 10,800 miles ago. the srs airbag light has been on for 20,000 miles and check engine light has been on for 40,000 miles. The car only uses 1 quart of oil every 10,000 miles and I change the oil between 10 and 15,000 miles or every 90 days whichever comes first. I also have a 2003 Accord 6cyl Ex Coupe only 46,000 miles and with hid lights, 19" wheels, heavy tinted windows, full
body package, and fog lamps in the body package enclosure. Both cars have wing type spoilers in the rear with the built in light. We had traction control
lights malfunctioning on the 2003 and the dealer charged over $268 to diagnose and fix the problem. They blamed the 19" wheels which have been on the car for 20,000 miles. On the way to Florida one of the rear Toyo FHZ tires blew out and was bald on the inside of the tire and metal came thru which was not visible from the outside of the tire. Perhaps the obd reader can be used with both cars plus my daughter has a 1998 Accord 4cyl Ex vtec engine is that a wise choice and do you have any suggestions PS we drain and refill our transmission oil on all cars on or about 8/1 every year and no trans problems on any of the 3 cars.

Holy shit my head hurts....
