Default NYC August 6-9th. What are some good places to eat/things to see?

I'm flying up for some training on August 6th through the 9th and will be staying at the Millenium Hilton near the WTC. What are some great places to eat that are near by? Any recommended areas to check out?

My gf was able to take some time off so she'll be flying up with me. I've been up there before but she hasn't so we're obviously going to Times Square, WTC, Chinatown, etc. Recommend me some places.

they f'ed up the wtc area pretty good right now, even the path station is kinda gay. from that hotel, if your on the right side, you could pretty much see the whole wtc site without leaving the comfort of the room.

+1 for the food stands they're talking about. :yum:. carnegie deli is off the chain, too.

new apple store is badass, even if you dont like apple products.

theres some good clothes shopping for guys up there too. the H&Ms actually have stuff for guys, unlike down here in MD.

Our MAcys is off the hook on 34th street but you can check out Century 21 its across the street from your hotel mad cheap gear and they have everything. Since its summer maybe take a ferry ride or Booze cruise around the city.

I'll have to check those places out. I'll be arriving that Monday morning and will have most of that day to sight see together. But I'll be in training 9am-5 the days after so other activities will be in the evening.
