i have been looking to replace my stolen digi cam & wasn't gonna go higher than about 8mp, but saw this new sony 12mp that i liked & figured that would give me plenty of room for cropping/editing pics.....

Oh, and BTW ... Sony's sale tactics include throwing high MP ratings at the consumer. Compare that Sony picture quality off of a Canon's. It'll be a world of difference.

A few years ago, I compared my brother's 3.2 Canon vs a newly purchased Sony DSC-T1. His image quality was so much higher.



Canon is currently in an "end of model" clearance period. You'll see all sorts of stuff at Staples, Office Depot, CC, BB, etc ... all on sale. I just got a really nice Canon for $160 (down from $350? 299?) a week ago.
