Default Another phone thread...

Okay, so tomorrow my plan is expired. Im looking at either the Samsung SCH-u740 or the Motorola MotoRAZR maxxx Ve. Ill list the things that are different, and what is most important to me.

Samsung: $129.99

3.6 oz
Standby time: up to 200 hours
QWERTY
Email

Motorola: $199.99

4.06 oz
Standby time: up to 320 hours
No QWERTY
No email

Other than those there are no differences except the Motorola is tad bigger.

Any suggestions? This is with Verizon.

Thanks!

Im leaning towards the Samsung as well, the only thing I like better about the Motorola is the standby time.

I have the Motorola Razr and it sucks monkey nuts. I hate it, it's slow, ugly, has no smiley faces in texts, internet sucks and is slow, the phone is sooooooooo 2003 and did I mention I don't like it? h:

I only have it cause that's what they sent me as a replacement when my phone busted.

On another note, would the LG VX5300 be fine for a free phone? My mom is gonna be on my plan (which is cheaper for both of us) and she doesnt really care what she gets for a phone.

between those two i'd go with the motorola. shocking, i know.

now that i've left sales and gone into the no-stress world of the customer service department where one of my duties is returns/exchanges, i'll say that i see a lot of the u740s coming back. the main thing people don't like is how small the buttons are.

i know i bash on motorola on a regular basis, and yes the razr, krzr, slvr, and Q still suck. however, i think they may have gotten it right with the razr maxx. the software is snappy, 2mb camera, nice screens and battery. also stereo bluetooth.

i still love LG and my current vx8600, and if you ask me which phone i'd buy it'd still be the 8700 above both the sam u740 and razr max. the 8600 is now discontinued.

8700-

might as well take advantage of our fairly new 30 day return policy. try em both.

edit: the 5300 isn't bad for a basic phone. my mom has the 5200 and likes it.

Holy crap those really are small buttons on the Samsung. The LG looks decent but I am slightly picky about colors.. hmmm.

I liked my friends samsung. He said the buttons are small, but he got used to them by the end of the day.
