Default Motorcycle riders..

When you go out for a ride, do you wear all the safety gear? Helmet, jacket, gloves, long pants, boots?

I only wear my helmet, gloves, and boots. Most of the time Ill wear jeans but sometimes I dont. Im thinking about wearing all my crap no matter where I go.. just in case..

I would, i've seen and heard of too many accidents that could have been prevented if the proper gear had been worn.

day i had my wreck, i was in joe rocket jacket & gloves, jeans, above the ankle boots & arai helmet. helmet saved my life.....i know this. jacket, gloves, boots & jeans kept me from getting tore up. i personally would save full leathers & racing boots for a day at the track, but know plenty of people who wear them as everyday attire.

yes, a quality jacket, gloves, boots & jeans can be hot & a bit uncomfortable, but how comfortable do you think skin grafts are???

have you seen the "after" pics of that girl that was in shorts & short sleeve shirt & was dumped off the back of dudes bike when he did a wheelie w/ her on it???

:nervous:

Decided to wear it all when I went out about an hour ago. I think I feel more comfortable with it all, plus for some reason I dont feel like Im being knocked around by the wind as much with a jacket on..

I don't get on my bike unless I have pants on, joe rocket jacket, closed toe shoes, gloves and helmet.

When I go on weekend runs I wear my full leathers.

Anytime I'm going for a 'ride' -- i.e. on some twisty roads or something -- I wear the whole shebang; helmet, jacket, armored pants, gloves, and motorcycle boots. Same goes for if I plan on getting on the highway. For just around town, I'll still wear helmet, jacket and gloves, but I'll wear regular jeans or some Alpinestars motorcycle jeans (with kneepads and a nylon liner) that I have, and might wear combat boots instead of motorcycle boots.

I don't mind getting a little hot if it means I get to keep most of my skin if I go down.

just gloves, helmet and jacket on local, leather pants/kev jeans and boots on the highway. next set of leathers i get will be WHITE and really preforated, dark colours are too damn hot.
