Yup - About $26,000. They REALLY wanted to unload this car. I believe it was the only 07 Legacy they had left on the lot.
The AWD was a huge selling point for me. I would not have minded an SI, but I would have had to run dedicated snow tires in the winter time. 200hp and FWD do not play well together in the snow. I have a 96 Civic LX that I drove in the winter time, but it's got 180k on it and is due for a timing belt. I'm selling that one outright right now.
The reason it went over the Tacoma was the ability to haul 4 people comfortably. I have meetings across town occasionally and I always got a weird look when I tried to stuff 4 people in dress cloths in my GSR. I didn't really want to get a four door pickup truck. If I need four doors, I would rather have a car.
Went to the local Mazda dealer and they didn't impress me much. The next closest dealer was 50 miles away.
Oh and a 0-60 in 5.1 seconds doesn't hurt either!
200HP and FWD drive don't play well in the snow if you don't know how to drive in the snow. I love when people think that AWD is the be all end all. I never had a problem in snow with all of my FWD.
