Default computer fixin' types

I installed vista a few days ago (no i wasn't drunk). since then ive noticed that a dvd has to be in the drive when the computer starts or it isn't read. right now to burn a dvd i have to put in the dvd i want burned, reboot, burn an image to the hard drive, reboot, burn image from hard drive to disk, then reboot again if i want to test if it will play on the computer. this is quite a pain and im hoping someone can help me straighten it out. i updated the firmware on the drive to no avail. when i had xp i had no issues whatsoever. also it seems to take longer to burn the image than it did before the "upgrade". any ideas? other than get rid of vista, im tossing that thought around but want to leave it as a last resort.

sounds like driver issue honestly to me. I'd honestly suggest leaving vista alone until the first service pack is released

Thats all you need to know.
Vista = Overpriced shit. Until at least SP1. Still then, I'm leaving it alone, unless its a temporary install to learn features of it to help people.

Found the problem in the first sentence. "I installed Vista"

You = pwned

I will learn OSX before i learn Vista. MS will have to make a new OS, that is not complete crap in order for there advanced users to come back to them.

Your problem is self inflicted.

Vista = shit

a little while after posting this i rebooted, vista never started back. i'm not pissed because i knew what i was walking into but i did it anyway. i hereby join the concensus and swear against vista via my own experience.
