Default Attention Everybody..... I Need your help.

I need everyone to give me a hand in stopping Best Buy's new campaign about their "wireless awareness" for their geek squad services. The symbol that they are using is the same symbol that they use for cancer awareness. I think it is wrong that they are using a symbol that is used for many people who have/had cancer. They're using it to make money for themselves.

This is a close topic for me because i have lost family members to cancer before, and i know a few people that have survived fighting off cancer. If you or someone you know has probably lost some to cancer. you should be enraged at this.

I'm not asking anyone to go start fights or anything of that sort, all that i am asking is that if you have a local best buy near you if you can stop in there and talk to a manager about removing their new campaign i would really appreciate it. And also if a Mod can make this a sticky i would appreciate that as well. Thank you all for your support.

What is the symbol? Is it a ribbon similar to this?

If so, that isn't limited to cancer. It's symbolic of all types of awareness, no matter how trivial.

it is that type of symbol, sure that symbol is used for awareness and cancer but not for a multi-billion dollar corporation to use it in vague you know.

They use that symbol for lots of different types of awareness. They use it for military too. Quit trying to cause problems.

I have lost family to cancer and that symbol is used for cancer awareness.
I have lost friends to the war, and that symbol is used in support of the troops.

Do I care that Best Buy will use it for promotional reasons? Nope not a bit I am more offended at the Livestrong bracelets than anything else.
