So basically I should scrap plans for the double din screen and go flip-out w/ head unit?

prelude + doubledin screen + no headunit = lose.

prelude + flipout screen + headunit = win.

 

argh, i absolutely hate flip outs.. ill have to think this over.

 

Im still trying to figure out what you hate about flipouts. If you truely want to keep your radio and want a touch screen either move the headunit to another part of the dash, get a flipscreen, or go home.

 

i cant exactly visualize the prelude interior... but is there any space in the dash for a 3rd din?

 

After looking at it, i literally only see him being able to use a flipout or getting rid of the radio and compartment underneath and going something like this



If you were to fab you could move the heater controls somewhere, place the radio in that spot.

 

if hes stubborn.... that space where the lighter is can probably fit a 3rd one.
