Default Quick note about swapping engines

When you are removing one engine in place of another...ohh lets say for example a straight six for a v8...please for those who follow after you take a few minutes and think logically.

Is it really ok to use red wire to wire up the entire engine?

Do I really need to leave that extra tank Toyota calls a fuel filter in if it isn't being used?

Maybe I could eliminate 30 of these wires that feed back on themselves (don't ask me what the fuck they were thinking)?

The manual choke that is no longer useful really can't be that hard to remove at least the wire for it...right?

Should I really fuck with the next guy and use wire tied to various parts of the body in order to bundle the other wires out of the way?

In closing allow me to say, if you really want to get to know the vehicle you are working on then take a couple days and re-wire the thing. it is an experience you won't soon forget and you will be glad you did.

Yeah I will feel good once it's done, just spent a few hours on it tonight and it was driving me nuts.

I am on 47 actual work hours on mine right now, with about 10 left by my guesstimate :happysad:
