Chuck Liddell has confirmed in an interview with the Boston Times that his next UFC fight will be against the one and only Wanderlei Silva. UFC president, Dana White, has been trying to set this fight up for quite some time, and with PRIDE now looking to be a subsidary for UFC, can finally do so. Liddell told the newspaper, "It’s going to be a striking battle. Who’s going to hit harder and throw more punches. I think from the things I’ve seen (of him) that’s what it will be."

Personally I think that Silva is an animal and has a good chance to beat Chuck. But Chuck has a great style to win against Silva. Silva has to get inside and Chuck loves to back up and circle while throwing big looping punches. Either fighter has a good chance of winning. It all comes down to whether Silva can get inside without Chuck rocking him.

Silva has been in a weird funk as of the last two years. I would give the match to Silva if he is in top shape and still has the heart to keep fighting.
It will be interesting to see how Silva with fight in the UFC seeing how he cannot do soccer kicks or head stomps anymore.
