Default Student Loan Consolidation

Hey everyone....i'm getting frustrated, and figured i'd ask for help here

Here's the situation: My Grad School student loans are Signature (personal - non-fedreral) loans so I cannot consolidate them w/ my undergrad loans (at 4.5%). They are currently at 18.9% for some god-awful reason and i need to consolidate them. The problem is, Sallie Mae is the only household name I can find to consolidate them and they are treating me like I'm a criminal! I would really like to consolidate with somebody OTHER than sallie mae.

Any suggestions ? On google I find many hits, but I don't want to give my financial info to just anybody.

Check out http://geezeo.com/ and their student section. That may be a good resource for you.

not at all. Basically, its just a new loan that pays off the old loans and gets you a better interest rate.

I need to consolidate too. Sallie Mae blows. I'm probably going to end up consolidating through them because they're the lender:dunno:

I'm trying to consolidate w/ them, but they are saying I need a cosigner, even though i have above average credit.....unfortunately (or fortunately), i have the best credit in my family too.
