Mixed bag on the English.

I tried not to use it because they take advantage of Americans whenever possible. Jen knows how to speak Taiwanese, so I was all gravy on the streets.

It's strange too. Most of the buildings and malls have English names. "Asia World Market", "Agora Garden Hotel" ... but if you say that to a cab driver, they have no idea what you're talking about. Over here, when something has a name, that's what it is. Over there, if it has a name, it will also have a Chinese interpretation.

I always carried a business card of the place I we were staying at.




speaking of cabs ... their cabs are light years beyond ours. I rode in a few Nissan Teanas. (US counterpart = ?) One of them had headrest LCDs cut into it with built in, retractable window shades.

The van that took me to the airport had satellite TV beaming to it. I was watching the Cubs playing the Dodgers, live.




2 weeks of clothes in a carry on? That's ROUGH. Since most airlines have a 50lb max capacity bag, I'd just go with that.

i need the brakes to be tightened up a lot, but they are so old, i have no idea how to do that. ive fucked around with it so much, i cant get anything to work.

i think im gonna take it to the bike guy down the road and have him fix it. if i get my deposit back from my last place tomorrow

 

hmm just take tare of a few errands, get a hair cut, because its pretty long and i have an orientation at school tomorrow gotta go fill up the tank :hs: and take out some cash for bridge money and parking $...

 

I've concluded that my office is nothing more than a concentration camp.
