i've watched the first 2 episodes. i see why you like this show. i still have to get over minnie driver having such a hick accent. but i really like the show.

If you judge the merits of her career solely on her looks then you have missed the point.
If however you judge it on her ability as an actress then I am more than positive you would be favorably impressed.

if you watched the whole first episode, then you should watch the second one. pilots are always hard to watch for me because there's so much setup, i get bored. but i force myself to get through it, and it usually pays off with the second ep. so i would recommend you watch the second to fully see where the show is going.
