Default MTF recommendations anyone?

It was 90 here today and my synchros felt like absolute garbage. Twice I couldn't get it into 6th on the first try after I had downshifted to 5th to make a pass.

I've heard good things about GM Syncromesh in Honda trannys :dunno:

Well they do, but the stickshifts aren't as finicky as the automatics. You can run pretty much anything up to heavy motor oil in a manual as far as I know.

I know some of the S2K guys run that GM solution and love it. Couldn't tell you first hand...

Well I have Bg synchroshift in my car and I think it's the same thing as the GM Syncromesh. It's good for about 10,000 miles before you feel that it is breaking down. I recommend changing it every 15,000 miles.

Hey Chris i'm also interested in the GM stuff.....very rare but on occassion I have trouble with 3rd. I usually wiggle in neutral left or right then try again and it goes in. Wanted to make my shifting smoother and was reading about that GM stuff the other day. Hmmmmmm.........
