Permission to join the Plasma Crew.
Since I'm hosting a get together next Saturday for the UFC fight, I had an excuse to upgrade my downstairs 34" Wide Sony HD Tube. With lots of careful consideration and countless store visits, I opted for a 42" Samsung.
It has 15000:1 Contrast Ratio, 3 HDMI inputs, Pixel Shift Technology (reduces the chance of burn in), Filterbrite anti-reflection technology, and it's 18bit. All within the budget I was trying to keep it under.
I was looking at 50" Vizio's but a 50" wouldn't fit in the corner nook of my house. Also, they seemed to have a large amount of glare and that wouldn't be good for all my downstairs windows.

What did you end up getting? Thanks. I definitely did some research before I bought it.
Just bought it on the weekend. Going to test it out and see how it does.

Awesome. Although, I've heard mixed reviews on the Aquos. Let me know how you like it. I went plasma since I would be watching more sports and movies than anything.

They're on sale for 1299 this week I think
