Default Software Peeps: TV/DVR Software?

I'm sick and tired of Media Center's fuckups. It's constantly fucking up the guide schedule...displaying "no data available" and not downloading the current listings. What software are you guys running for your PC DVR/TV setups? Free would be best.

Thanks.

No, this is on my everyday PC. I don't DVR a lot of stuff, but it's nice to have if I'm not going to be home or something else is on at the same time.

It's internal...coax goes straight into the back of the PC.

i tried the whole dvr thingy for the computer. i couldn't get it working no matter how hard i tried and what software i tried.

i found that it is much easier if i just get dvr from my tv provider for espn and download shows off bittorrent
