I owe in the 5 figures. At this point I feel that going to school was a waste of my time and money. Now I have all this debt to pay off. Sallie Mae blows. I heard that they are under investigation for pressuring students to sign up for loans with higher interest rates than other lenders. Apparently they had advisors at the schools that they paid to advise students to go with Sallie Mae.

I'm like $25k down in student loans. No big deal to me, I have the pride in not having taken a dime from my parents.

After almost 4 years I'm down to 22K, I actually didn't pay for 1.5 years, but the damn interest kept on accruing.

My gf will be owing close to 80k when she's done. Oh well.

my fiancée still has her loans to pay off, but i don't think there's all that much left. she's going for her masters now though, so hopefully not too much will accrue there.
