I have no problem returning the wallet with all cash in hand. I would love for them to think that there are decent people in this world. Yes, I am a pyschological egoist. And to prove that, I would want the same in return.

With the wallet I found, I did not find any address or numbers. Only credit cards and other people's business cards. I searched around and found a bunch of things that lead me to believe that he owned this shop. I called the shop, and yea, he owns it. I talked to one of the workers and he wasnt there. I told her I found dudes wallet. She was trying to get my number so he can return a call. FOr some reason my better judgement decided not to give my number out h: I called back a 2nd time, same thing. The lady was almost yelling "WHY YOU NO GIVE ME YOUR NUMBER FOR HIM TO CALL BACK??!" I just said, I will call back in an hour and hung up. Never called, just mailed the wallet back.

I just dont want to confront the guy. In this day and age...he might report you as a suspect if his wallet was jacked from him (probably likely). :dunno:

and a good part of the population would be more worried about getting their id back than anything.

myself personally I'd keep the money and give the wallet back and if asked say it wasn't there when I got it.

I'd honestly, honestly give it back with the money.

That's what I'd want if I lost mine

so finally got a hold of the guy.. kinda felt bad for him, he is taking a plane today and he needs the id in the wallet to make it. The dude is a poor student and he is very greatfull, mostly for the cards and all his stuff... he didnt even say anything about the cash. He offered to get me some beer or a bottle of wine or something like that i said it wasnt necessary.

Well i feel good about myself!
