Ummm first you make a thrend about graduation, and now popping the question?
Here is how I asked it:

When I proposed to my now ex wife it was done at christmas so I had a huge box filled with styrofoam popcorn and the ring box at the very bottom. she was pissed trying to find what was inside and almost gave up.
Then she had to unwrap the ring box which was wrapped in a big ball of kite string.
yeah she slugged me but she also married me. That was 3 years of mostly hell and I will not go through that again...ever

My finance proposed to me on my favorite beach in Florida where we go every year. We went for a walk on the beach at night and I turned to look at the other end of the island and when I turned back, he was on one knee w/ the ring in a box that LIT UP, it was pretty cool. :love:
