When me and k3ifers went to NYC for the auto show 2 of my friends from high school (one of whom I considered my best friend) were supposed to go. I told both of them weeks in advance and called them 3-4 days before to confirm and they both said they were 100% going.

I drove to Syracuse (6.5 fucking hours), called them Friday night all excited and one of them said he couldn't go because he had no money. Even though he's been driving 5 hours to see a girl every weekend and going to a shitton of concerts. The other said he couldn't go because it was Easter weekend. I fucking told him 5 times it was Easter weekend before, and that we'd be back by Sunday. He was okay with it 3 days before but all of a sudden it was a big deal. I almost cried. The fact that I had been really depressed for 2 weeks didn't help. I haven't talked to either of them since and have no interest in ever hanging out with them again if they're gonna ditch me straight up like that.
