Hillary Changes Private Planes - Constantly...
I still don't think she stands a chance. The majority of the people in the country dislike her.

I bet the Dems hate it when the dirty propaganda they use is turned back on them by a conservative (or at least un-biased) journalist. Though I'm more conservative than liberal, one could easily and logically argue that while she's burning up a ton of fuel flying around, the effect that she'll have convincing others, helping laws pass, or otherwise being a spokesperson for global warming is very much worth the relatively insignificant amount of fuel she's using (though at the same time I don't know how I'd explain the transition from a less to a more luxurious plane). :chuckles:
It's good to see the media at least giving both sides a hard time for a change. If you're going to be pointing out all the mistakes the republicans have made, you might as well call the Dems on all their hypocracy.

First: This whole obsession with all the Democratic candidates taking private planes is dumb. Until I can read in the press that the Republican candidates (who have all professed to be concerned about the environment) are using bicycles or rickshaws, it's just partisan posturing.
Second: We need to realize that a presidential candidate sometimes needs to be in seven places at once, and it's entirely possible that private planes are the only answer to that need. A candidate taking any other mode of transportation would be highly disruptive and would piss people off...the same people whose votes those candidates are asking for. Telling a crowd of people that "your flight is delayed because candidate X has exclusive use of the runway" just lost candidate X all those votes. The days of campaign trains and buses are long gone. It would be nice if candidates for president could take commercial flights or trains, but that's not the reality, unfortunately...and even if it were logistically possible, the Secret Service would probably veto the idea.

The former first lady even grounded one aircraft - a chartered Gulfstream II - in Columbia, S.C., last Friday, demanding a swankier Gulfstream III replacement for a flight out west.
