Possible Job Opportunity ver.ilostcount :oh:
Today (May 1st) was long over due with it being the official date that I drop all support for our Field Ops/Net Ops groups and the systems/structure they operate off of. I transitioned off a shit load of responsibilities basically to multiple groups and personnel. It was way too much for one person any who.
So now I'm left with managing everything wireless (I was doing this already) here in our system. It's still a huge responsibility but much more laid back than before.
I've been asked yet again if I was interested in a Sr. Software Engineer position down in our corporate offices in Atlanta so I'm getting my resume ready tonight. I mainly want to put in for it just to see if and what I get offered. 2 individuals I would be working with are from my system here in VA, and I've worked with both for a few years so thats a good thing.
Now it's decision time. If I do get the offer, should I take it?
Pro's
-Verrrrrrrry nice pay increase
-Housing down there is so much cheaper
-Paid moving and housing until I purchase something
Con's
-Parent's and Brother both live here in VA
-Up to 50% Travel, but it's more like 15%
-Selling my house and moving
