It wasnt an Iridium flare. I was in the middle of the woods in a city park in Montreal back in 2002-2003 and it happened. Me and two friends were walking in the woods late at night and something like a camera flash light up EVERYTHING. Almost like a strobe but longer and different light. Long enough for me to look all around and see everything in detail all around me. It stopped pretty quick and disappeared and it was dark again. Both my friends saw the same thing and were speechless afterwards other then a "what the fuuuuck...".
I would have guessed I was imagining it or something, but there was nothing preceding the event, no obvious noise or anything, and then afterwards all the birds and bugs in the night were silent. DEAD silent. Then entire woods. One bird eventually let out a few lonely chirps until the rest of the forest chimed in... but I'll never forget that shit.
I googled and found some Canadian Space group the next day and called them up to report it. The guy seemed a little taken aback by the story and asked if I was on drugs or something.
I swear I'll never forget that shit.

my grandfather swore he was abducted back in teh 60's. his boss had some specialists who were experts on alien abductions and what not come in and test him and apperently they said he wasnt lieing...they believed he was actually abducted..
i never met my grandpa but i sure would have loved to hear the story
edit: i have a strange ass family, my one uncle drove his car into the lake, he swore it was cuz of aliens.......ive gone diving in the lake looking for the car a couple times, story is theres a fifth of jack under the seat and a 12gauge in the trunk....lots of people have gone looking, noone has ever found it
