Time Warp? WTF?
I was just reading in my history textbook about the campus protests in the mid sixties, and all of a sudden I get this email:
WTF is this shit? I think there is a snowballs' chance in hell of this passing, in Wisconsin of all places...

Recently, the University of Wisconsin System formed a committee to revise UW System policy Chapter 17 regarding student non-academic misconduct. Revisions to this policy could include punishment of students for their behavior while off campus, such as underage drinking, noise/nuisance violations, or other acts. Punishments that have been discussed range from suspension to expulsion. The following websites are news articles from the UWM Post, which may provide you with more background information:

Changes to Chapter 17 would have serious implications on your personal lives. If some of the proposed changes go though, you could be kicked out of school because of a noise violation or drinking ticket. Even if you do not live around the UWM campus, this change could affect you. The proposed changes are so broad that you could be punished for speeding in Florida.
