Default Michigan Meet thread Part duex...

What's happening with this? Is it going to be a go on the weekend of the 11-13?

i started doin a bit of site research, there are two state campgrounds in the area... one in Traverse, and then one in the northern point of the peninsula we planned to drive.

the one in the north does have the small cabins for rent, i dont know prices, but i know for you OLDMAN that that was a request.

we are still a go for the 11-13th. if we decide how many want to go for sure i can reserve a couple sites at the campground we as a group choose.

i need a definite headcount before we can decide exactly where we would stay though

I guess I'll just reserve a cottage for us. I have to be in Saginaw on the 13th, Mother's day you know...my wife wants to be with hers.

yea, thats part of what makes it nice doin it that weekend....i can stop by on the way home and say hi to the momma...

ok so, guys wanting to go, give me a definite headcount on who's going. we need to get a accurate number so we can figure out how many sites we would want to reserve. right now im guessing 2 or 3 sites in total, that would allow 3 or 4 tents per site.

OLDMAN, if you would be so kind, since you found those routes, could you plan the drives, get back with me on those, and we can decide if we want to do the dunes for lunch on saturday or pick somewhere else.

also if its possible can someone make this a sticky so the boys all see it today and chime in if they are in or not

the campground in TC is right next the freeway, but there is a bridge that goes over it to the beech...I wasnt a real big fan of the camp site.

well theres lelanauu state park, at the very tip of the peninsula we would be driving... its 10 dollars a night, 2 tents, 4 people is what the website says. well over 18 campsites available currently.

theres six sites left with lakeshore sites

5 that are across the road from the lakeshore sites, with higher privacy...
