ive been bugging to get something better than my sony point and shoot from the company for a while now. we have a nice nikon SLR but that stays in our marketing department.

this weekend i snagged a fuji S1 Pro that apperently the marketing department was using prior to the Nikon and they are giving it to me for use over in my office until they buy a new camera and i can have the Nikon.

my question is, the S1 pro seems to be a camera thats 3 or 4 years old, my point and shoot is 6 months old. Will i be getting any advantages with the S1 or is my point and shoot going to be on par? i ask as i havent gotten the S1 yet and i need to order some media, and dont want to if it turns out the point and shoot handles the same.

so far the only advantage i really saw was the S1 uses the nikon F lens mount, is this still a popular mount?
