Default Water Bottle Filter

I am thinking of getting one of those water bottles that filters the water automatically. Does anyone have one? Are they worth it? Where can I get one cheap?

I don't know what kind to get...

Depends what kind of water you're trying to filter. Tap, it will work OK. Anything dirtier than that and your filter will be pretty much clogged after a few uses.

If you're ever in a different country, don't drink the tap water... filtered or otherwise :hsugh:

REI has a pretty good selection, but again, I wouldn't really count on those filters. When I went to Europe, I just bought bottled water at the local supermarket every couple of days.

yeah depends on the filter. some filter out bacterias but not virus. i would add the cleansing tabs to fill everything in the water and then filter it out. better than getting the runs in a place not known for good plumbing...
