my roommate called me while he was about to go pick up some food and tells me that after he turns on the engine, he hears a loud 'pop' and sees steam coming from his engine bay. i went outside and theres green fluid coming from what i can see as the radiator. is that what it is? bad lighting didnt allow me to clearly see where it was coming from but i think i made out a hose w/o a top or connection
we're trying to figure out what hes going to do since he has to drive out of town tonight

doubt its the core. it looked like a hose from the drivers side

thinking back, he got in an accident several months ago where he hit another car from the same side trying to dodge some wreckless bikers. im guessing the accident couldve caused stuff to be a little loose around that area, even if he did get the entire front end repaired
his dealer's service dept is closed at these hours on sundays. anything we could do in the meantime, or are we going to have to wait it out til tomorrow?

we tried looking for the part that couldve possibly popped off and couldnt find it. too much grass, dry leaves and other random debris, plus its off in a shady area
nothing looks torn or cracked. more like theres just a piece missing. and since it made that pop sound, im guessing theres a chance it could still be somewhere in the engine bay
might be a stupid question, but trying to drive it now would be very bad, right?

Fill the radiator back up and look for the leak.
If the leak is in the radiator crack open and egg or two into the radiator and drive it around for a while. The egg will fry inside the radiator and seal the hole.
Only do that if he needs to drive it.
