I use a program called TabIt. It's one of the best things I've ever used. You can download tabit files and play it on the program and it'll actually play the song and let you follow along with it. The website is tabit.net...but it costs money. I got it from my cousin for free though.

But yeah, just play whichever sounds best. I don't really play much Nirvana anymore since I use a different tuning than Standard on my B.C. Rich. I play heavier stuff so my tuning is (from top string to bottom) - CGCFAD...which is almost the same as the tuning for Come As You Are...you just drop the top string another step.

For C tuning you bring all the strings down not just E.

3 years here, tabs are useless once you get to a certain point. You can pretty much do a better job yourself just listening the song through a couple times.

I didn't bring down just the E. it's C-G-C-F-A-D. Standard is E-A-D-G-B-E...The top E is down 2 steps and the other 5 are down 1 step. That's the C-tuning I use.

I bought a Schecter Omen 6 last year but sold it to a friend. I was gonna keep it in C then put my B.C. in B-Gb-B-E-Ab-Db. I had the opportunity to buy it back recently...but lack of money to spend stopped me.

I pretty much forgot how to play every song I've learned. I basically just work on technique now and scales. I play mostal speed/death metal.
