the photo was obviously a fake. There might actually be a 280 lb dog, but that's not a real picture of him.

 

friend of my dads has a mastiff bit smaller than that...sleeps on a queen size matress and eats 2 50lb bags of dog food a week...thing is monsterous but a big softie... she takes it to the hospital she works at and takes it around to all the kids. dog was actually in the detroit paper , i believe its the largest mastiff in michigan

if you look at the rear view, it's blatent, but you can tell even with out reading the article that it was a quick chop.
