Spreading my wings
Or at least trying to
THinking about moving into an apartment with my buddy, rent is 300-340 a month a piece and thats all inclusive (tv, internet, gas, water, electric). I know it sounds like a good deal to you guys who live in the higher cost of living shit. But is it still decent for a 20 yr old who makes 9.50 an hour? and is in school?

the second you move out, you're going to find all sorts of insane bills start to appear.
just stay at home, graduate, and go from there.
$9.50 an hour for 40 hours a week isn't enough to support yourself.

werd.
werd.
at $9.50/hr, with an average work week of 40hrs, you'll be making $1520 a month... GROSS. take out taxes and other misc. deductions, you'll have like $1200 NET. i dont care how different cost of living might be anywhere, but $1200 is SHITTY money to have to support oneself.
stay home and save money until you HAVE to move out. if for some personal reasons you end up moving out and your budget is still the same at $1200, then so be it. but no point in moving out with that budget, unless you have to.

then dont move out until you're finished with school. no shame in living at parents' home when you're a student.
