Although I personally don't like the Superbird I have to give it a lot of respect. It was the only car to ever go straight from a showroom floor to the race track and then get banned from the race track in full stock trim in less than one racing season.

They said it was too fast and was an unfair advantage against the other drivers :chuckles:

 

Ford/Mercury's answer to the Superbird/Charger Daytona, the Torino Talladega & Mercury Cyclone Spoiler, also got banned from the race track.
