I am going to take a moment here and let you know that the Basement is the only designated off topic area on this board.

this being said I want to let you know that any off topic comments made in any of the tech related forums will result in the issuing of warning points. Also note that the points issued may be a higher amount than you would have normally recieved here in the basement for the same infraction.

It has been noticed and also has been in discussion for a bit about certain "Basement only" members trolling the tech forums. This will not be tolerated so consider this your warning.

This will also extend to anyone who feels the need to post a link in the Basement to a topic in a tech forum for the express purpose of derailing the thread in another forum.

This ws actually a small part of what brought this up.

At this point a zero tolerance rule is being applied for trolling other forums and treating topics the same as you would in this part of the forum.

We understand things happen and subjects get sidtracked, but to puposely go trolling is another matter altogether and we have at least a few who do it regularly.
