244,800 miles and the torque converter is fucked up. Vibrating at all speeds, gets horrible when I accelerate and I can't do over 50 without terrible vibration. 3 of the techs at work (1 worked at a Honda dealer for a couple years) all think it's a bad torque converter. I'm buying a new car by the end of the week I miss my car already.

Replace it with a junkyard convertor fool!

Although that's what my old Civic did when the tranny went.

Why not just swap in a new torque convertor...or maybe a new tranny (probably cheaper to tranny swap)?

I have no idea, it didn't start doing it until the drive through Canada and it's been getting progressively worse.

estimated replacement cost is $16,000

I don't have the time or money to deal with it honestly, John...it's just not worth spending another $2000 on this car when it's barely worth that much. I work 40 hours a week and commute 120 miles a day, I need a car. And I've been wanting to buy a new car for awhile anyway.
