Default Any lawn experts in hea?

The front lawn of my house is filled with weeds due the nasty waters of Katrina. I'm trying to grow green grass, but where do I start?

those companies that spray your yards work really well. we have tru-green chem-lawn spray ours every week over the summer and it looks great.

otherwise, tear that shit up

I'm thinking of using Roundpro herbicide and spray the whole lawn and put in another layer of dirt and seed new lawn

pics if you can

1. remove old grass and weeds
2.Rototill the dirt 6 to 12 inches use either (gypsum are sometype of soil Amend)
3.keep the soil watered and wait for weeds to grow. kill them with some round up or grass and weed killer of your choice
4. now is the time "if you want" to put in irrigation
5.go to your local home improvment store find out what grass grows the best in the N.O.
6. have sod deliverd (make sure you have plenty of people) the more the better.
Rent a yard roller to roll over sod (smoothes out the bumps and make contact with the soil)
7. keep sod moist and water at lease 3 times a day
