Default GAIM Users
My GAIM disconnected throughout the night and now I can't get it to reconnect. Is this a common thing?

its not a gaim issue....

your connection dropped a few time.... and aol blocks you for a while after too many reconnects made in succession.

Lame. I can't get it to work at all. My friends works though, even when he gets disconnected and reconnected.

Make sure Zone Labs (if it's installed) Isnt effing with it.
Start > Run > CMD > Ipconfig /release
Ipconfig /renew

FTW!!
