Default Math Krew? V.Astromony

If the fastest passenger aircraft can fly 1600 km/hr (1000mph), how many years would it take to reach the sun (in hours)? The Galactic Center (in years)? (1pc = 3x10^13 km.)

Earth to Sun = 1 AU

1AU = 93x10^6 miles

SO

93x10^6/1000 Right?

92,955,887 miles @ 1000 mph = 92,955.887 hours = 3873.16 days = ~10.6 years.

This is a math question right? Not orbital mechanics? Because you can't actually fly directly to the sun.....it actually takes a little longer.

I'll stop :hsugh:
