Default Bloody noses v.WhatToDo?

I got a bloody nose at 6:45. It stopped pouring out at 7:50. It stopped trickling out at about 9:30. I ended up packing my nose(Tissue rolled up in a ball and jammed into my nose which puts more pressure on the vein) and the blood has been going down my throat for almost 3 hours. When I spit, its all bloody. Fun fun!

I get between 7-10 bloody noses(That I can remember) a year. When I get them the quickest they stop is perhaps 45-60 minutes. Longest one I can remember is 3 hours. I do all the right things. Tilt my head forward, pinch my nose, put ice on my neck, put ice on my nose, put gauze under my upper lip. Everything. Nothing really makes a difference.
I'm not sure if I should go talk to my doctor and see what he says. I don't know if its serious enough or what. When they cauterize your nose, will it never bleed then?

If worst comes to worst

I had my nose cauterized when I was younger and I never really had a problem with it after.

Haha! I almost thought about asking them for one, but it wasn't a terrible bleed(for me). It was pretty bad though. I took off the tissue after 70 minutes, a small clot came out and within about 3 seconds the blood was dripping from my upper lip. It was gnarly.
