There is a phone number you can call that gives you almost direct access to a person where you request that copies of ALL your W2's be sent to you in the mail so you can file properly. I did it the other year... but I cant find the number and am having trouble finding it online. Its not the general IRS number.


Any ideas?

no. W2s are generated by your employer. so if you worked for 2-3 different places, then you need to call each one.

 

Well last year I called this IRS number and they sent me a printout with all 4 or 5 that I worked that year all together.

I dont know how and I lost the number

 

hmm well i guess that makes some sense, since the employers also have to send the info to the IRS as a double checking measure :dunno:
