Default Houston Peeps: Things to do

Hey guys, here is the deal. Our truck blew a fuel injector this morning at 1am so we are layed over in Texas. We were told it could be up to 4 days before the dealership even looks at our truck, and then however long it could take to fix it. We're staying in "La Quinta" on 11999 East Freeway in Houston.

So, seeing as we could be here for a while.. what is there to do? Im lovin this place -- I dont want to go home

I'm in San Antonio, its a far drive or i would offer some help. I lived in PA for the last few years too, TX > PA.

WTF are you doing there in the first place?

Eat brisket, drink beer, and don't get robbed.

TX is definetly greater than PA. I dont want to go back! I seriously love it down here.. But, I am here cause on Sunday I left on a trip with my trucker buddy to see what it is like to be on the road. So far, I am loving it. We pulled in last night to get our load from Bayer and we couldnt start the truck to pull out. When we had pulled in we smelled diesel but figured it was someone else because we didnt smell it till we got there. Turns out it was us, and that we were actually spraying diesel all the way to the warehouse.. Andrew told me today that our truck could have went to hell and back if our tires would have slipped up on the highway..

Nice weather, excellent food, hot chicks.. oooh yeeah.
