Who shoots for rice?
I'm noticing a lot in a few forums that people are saying they want their car to look better, but not rice. I'm relatively new to the import world, so it is a genuine question.
Is there anyone that really wants to look "rice".
IMHO most of the exhaust I see on cars looks "rice" but those who have it, claim it doesn't. Most of the body kits I see on imports look "rice" but again, if you've got it on your car, it looks good.
Not trying to offend anyone, but where is all of this coming from? Maybe coming from the classic muscle era, I just won't ever understand... but please help me understand. [ This thread is not a bash-everyone thread, so let's keep conversation positive or neutral... thanks! ]

i have been realizing that too.
i guess it is where your intention is with the car (as its owner) and what you see it as.
for example if your car looks rice and you think it's going to blow an Evo X out of the water but really can't, then you're rice.
on the other hand, if your car looks rice and you admit it and know it won't beat a VW GTi, you're not rice to me.
rice to me is a state of mind where the car and its driver don't coincide.
i admit some shit i did and do to my car is fairly mildly rice, but i still hang out with guys that drive WRX, Z28s, and what have you with no bashing because i'm not striving to think a fucking exhaust is going to give me +25 WHP.
i just do it because it gives me a more fun car to drive and it tells me what i should and should not do on the next car.

Hey dont forget that stickers add 5HP and 10lbs of torq for each one thats on the car.... Btw what i consider to be "RICE" well i just so happen to have the perfect example. The 2000 Chevy Cavilar with the Vader body kit, 18 inch chrome rems with 24mm tires, the exhaust that sounds like a Bumble Bee stuck in a tin garbage can, and least but not last the tripple stack carbon fiber wing.. can someone please tell me what the purpas of this is im lost what effect a wing has on a FWD car. Thats my defination of RICE
