I used to have a 98 Mercedes S500 (65,000 miles as of Dec 06), with the same ticking noise. The faster you went, the faster the ticking.

Maintenence on the car was never done, nothing (my dad owned it and he didn't care). We were able to get rid of it for $11 grand....

It sure was one messed up car...

Im not gonna fight this guy, if he takes me to court I might counter him just for the heck of it.

Now to relist the car for some obscene amount and see what I can get for it...
